I seem to be getting something very strange going on with audio on certain channels.
Whilst watching the film Johnny English there is a voice-over that appears throughout the film that gives running commentary i.e "Johnny ducks Lings high roundkick, He floors Ling with a kick to the face" and then this proceeds to happen.
I also noticed this 'commentary' was happening last night whilst watching the film Flight.
The kids have also mentioned that it happened whilst watching Peppa Pig today.

I am perplexed as to why this is happening - it almost seems like it is some sort of verbal subtitle?

Hopefully there is some sort of option i can disable???

Hi,

Your audio track is picking up NAR (narration)

In Set Up/System/Auto Language Selection, set "prefer AC3" to yes and "prefer audio track stored by service" to no, and that should sort it.

I think that's sorted it mate. Didn't seem to work at first, but i changed channels, then put it back on the channel (film) it was happening on and it hasn't happened since!

Top man.

I've had this problem come back, and can't seem to deactivate it like before......any ideas?

Have you tried a full satellite manual scan - with network scan set to Yes & clear before scan set to yes.

Then check through you full satellite channel list - not your favourites - and check the channels with the problem. Do these channels have an alternative - i.e. duplicate versions of the same channel on different transponders. Test these to se if you still have the NAR problem.
