AutoBouquetMaker released!​

After a period of intensive testing ViX has released their new AutoBouquetMaker, included in all images from build 514. This unique functionality creates bouquets for a number of major providers, where the user has a lot of influence on the layout. Easy to use and very fast running, with an option for regular automated scans.

For this we have to thank Andy Blacburn & Sandro Cavazzoni who have spent a lot of time to create this fabulous feature.

This plugin has been coded from the ground up in C+ and python which means it's very fast and does not need any form of service scan prior to using, it can be run from a totally virgin setup in around 60 to 80 seconds flat.

This plugin as the name suggests is a Bouquet Maker that where possible will exactly mirror the provider it has been setup for, for example if setup for sky uk and freesat it will exactly mirror the Sky uk / freesat channel number line up.

The plugin can detect if you have a free tuner ( as in if your using a multi tuner receiver ) and use that tuner, allowing you to continue to watch Live TV with very little interruption other than a spinner and a very brief progress bar. This allows you to manually run the plugin during say a advert break with as little interruption possible. If however you dont have a free tuner as in the case of say a Vu solo dont fret as the plugin will temporarily take over the tuner while retaining it's speed allowing you to run it during a advert break if needed.

This plugin can detect your tuner configuration and will only present you with the providers that correspond to that configuration setup. for example in the above screen shots you can see my setup for sky uk and freesat, without listing all the other providers the plugin supports but can not tune into due to my own setup.

The plugin can be accessed from Menu> Setup> Service Searching> AutoBouquetsMaker.

Sorry buddy.. Not at the moment..
It has a default layout .. and will always revert back after the next scan..

Installation was a breeze but now I seem to have multiple bouquets, is it possible to delete the MrMister one and if so can it simply be done via remote control or do I have to use dreamboxEDIT?

you can simply remove any of your other bouquets with remote. press menu and remove entry to remove unwanted bouquet lists

At what point do you press menu? I have tried doing that after I select EPG but there is no function. Could you be a little more specific, thanks.

Press the TV button on the remote to see your list of bouquets, highlight the bouquet, then press menu.

Are you watching a recording while hitting the TV button?
If so, go back to live TV, hit the TV button again & you will see list of bouquets.

Sadly I need STV HD, so will pass on using this just now.

Yes: the plugin has been designed for ViX.
