[VU+ Duo] Automatic Timeshift Rewind function

Can you try the PTS plugin and see if results are the same? This may be a driver issue.

I have tried on a TM Nano OE, TM Nano 2 Super, and GI LX3. All three allow you to rewind/ffwd then skip into next program. I was on Skype with Andy, he said that if the drivers can recognise the EOF/SOF (end of file/start of file) you should be able to rewind all the way into the program. As this is not always possible, he added the < and > buttons.

Im assuming ones you attached will not work on Vu+ Duo which Im using.
Never had problem on previous Vix image

No mate. If it is a driver issue, you will have the same problem whether you use OpenPLI, OpenATV, Blackhole, etc. If that happens, you will prove that those driver/kernels have an issue.

If you want to try an older Vix image, you will have to check the changelogs and establisj when the Vu kernel/drivers changed.

Testing the first scenario is better as it can be demonstrated that there is an issue across all images.

I never used anything but Vix and don't really want to.

Im not having a go at the team..
I just reported an issue that others confirmed including one of your team.
I am in the process of loading my old Vix 3.0 version 808 will report back

I am not having a go at you either.

Using an older image will prove the older drivers/kernel are fine. If you forward these findings to Vu, they will just turnaround and say there is something wrong in your image that does not work with our drivers. If on the hand, you turn around and say: this feature does not work on your receivers. We have tried on the following images and the results are the same. They then can address it, as they see fit.

I don't have a Vu receiver, so cannot assist further. Our goal is to make the image better for everyone.

What box are you testing this issue on?
As there have been no changes in TS code in a long time, the issue seems to be driver related.
I've tested it extensivly over the last week now using a Solo2. This feature used to work since the last TS changes were done, but doesn't now.
It does seem to work on other manufacturers boxes though, so another sign of driver issues as the same TS code is used on all maunfacturers boxes.

Saying that, I did get it to work slightly today. Left the box on BBC1 HD while I was out for the day. When I turned on the TV this evening, had a bunch of what should be TS available shows.
Pressing rewind would only rewind to start of current show.
Pressing < beside the 0 button would work randomly, jumping between instant start of current show/rewind TV & the odd time to previous TS show.
Pressing record, choose event to save worked on all shows.

What happened to me today; I was recording a show on bbc one hd, I tuned into that show to watch it (as it was recording). Near to the end of the program, I rewinded to find one particular bit I missed. Every time I was rewinding and trying to get to that particular bit, once I clicked play to play that part, it would just jump forward even though it rewinded back . I had to rewind 3-4 times in order to get to the bit I wanted.

Hi Judge i using a Vu Duo box.
PTS works fine on old Vix 3.0 version 808 I did notice kernel has changed from vix 3 kernel 3.1.1 to apollo kernel 3.9.6
