I purchased the 'Miraclebox Premium Micro HD Linux Enigma 2 Hybrid 1x DVB-C/T/T2 Cable/Terrestrial HD 1080p PVR Digital Receiver' from WOS about 6 months ago, the box came preflashed with OpenVix.
I have updated the box, periodically, through the update system on the box. I haven't updated for a couple months however. This morning I decided to get rid of the flashing green icon and update. I am unsure what version of Openvix I was running prior to this as I just let it do it's thing - I suspect it was 4.xx.xx as I hadn't updated for a while - I did not check forums before updating, I know, I know.
Normally these updates take 2-3 minutes but this morning the same message appeared for over an hour, so, I pulled the plug and rebooted. I saw the splash screen of the countryside scene, then the black and white splash screen which says ' Openvix, all your support needs at world-of-satellite.com'. I cannot get past this boot screen.
That was about 7 hours ago. I have spent a lot of that time searching forums, I have tried re-flashing via USB with 4.xx Openvix images and also with 5.xx images, I have tried 4 USB sticks formatted to Fat32 of various sizes, including an 8Gb Kingston and a generic 16gb which up until this morning was the USB stick I always had plugged into the box.
Only one USB stick at a time, always formatted with the recommended USB Format software, all images taken from the official OpenVix site (http://www.openvix.co.uk/index.php/downloads/miraclebox-images/premium-mini-hybrid/)
I can get nothing else from the box apart from this black and white splash screen - no menus, no instructions, just booting directly to the splash screen.
Does anyone have any advice?
