[VU+ Duo2] Box doesn't power off but reboots

i have a strange phenomenon: when i power off (deep standby) the box via rc power off the box sometimes (not allways) goes down and then reboots immediately. have not been able to identify a pattern yet.
this is a duo2 with apollo 35 but i have also seen it with earlier apollo releases.

it seems to be a bug when wol is activated.

I know it does not help but not every one uses all of the features on the image. we rely on user reports such as yours in these circumstances. Try generating a rs232 serial bootlog of the incident as that may show what's happening.

I used to have a computer set with wol and it would never stay powered off... Usually it would restart within a few minutes of a power down, something, maybe on your router or something connected to your LAN or maybe out on the inter web is sending magic packets that your box is responding to....

i'm using a fritzbox as a router. fritzbox has 2 options to power on the computer manually or to start the computer automatically when accessed from the the net. i did not check the automatic option, so i would expect that it only starts when started manually.
but who knows... maybe there is a bug in the fritzbox firmware. haven't found bug reports on the net, though.
or maybe there is a bug in the vu+ network device driver?
