Did you do a settings restore at some point? Maybe a plugin has been installed which has messed things up?

No, it's a clean flash this morning. Have just set a password to be able to access the box from my PC.
 
You are changing the plugin as I can see the debug…… but last debug didn‘t include latest changes. If we can get the debug it should show the issue

Does OpenWebIf work ok? You can use it to view all packages from settings/packages.

This error message has been showing for a few years. The 5.4 (Py2) series shows it as well.

copy attachment to /usr/lib/enigma2/python/Components

this should work, if not replace pluginbrowser with original (I changed some checks which maybe invalid)

So, what the hell is that doing there? What is installing it? Why is it not present in pluginsnotwanted.patch? And is there a dependency that is installing it?
 
Yes but what is loading it into the image. Must be pre-loaded.

No - I should have known the issue, but I have always bypassed the checks from day1 on my builds because my feeds are on a NAS not ViX server. ...and I am not concerned about the ViX traffic light system

can you rename the OnlineUpdateCheck and replace with this version.......let me know the result
