Cannot record or set timer from an android client app

I use an android tv app to stream content from my box on my LAN, everything works fine except I cannot record or set a timer from the android app to the enigma2 box.
I have tried two android apps and both will set recordings from other sources but not from the enigma2 source.

The enigma2 box is set up to record to a network share and if I set a timer using the box it records without issue. I just cannot get an android client app to set or send a recording timer to the box.
Is there a setting or plugin I am missing?

You need to ask the authors of the app to add it. Not something we can fix from this end.
