[VU+ Duo2] Cannot use Letters on Remote Control?

Was hoping to use letters on RC instead of the onscreen keyboard e.g EPG search

enabled text option in "menu\system\remote" but all I get when I press/hold down any number key is the Letter "F"

Tried a suggestion "Pressing 0 to scroll through letters" from another thread but "F" again

Any ideas what I'm missing please?

BTW : using blue HD skin if that makes any difference?

This is a bug VU introduced quite some time ago. And apparently they are not willing to repair it.
So for the time being use the OSD-keyboard where possible (much more convenient) or the WEB-interface.
