[VU+ Solo2] Can't Connect To VU Solo 2 Using FTP Client

Thanks for all the continued support.....Now for my problem.
I have just upgraded to a VU Solo2...All is well, I installed the latest VIX Image (Apollo 026)
The thing is I can see the VU Solo 2 on the Network and I can access it from there, but as soon as I try to connect using a FTP program, it fails to connect.
I have tried with FileZilla on my Mac and WinSCP on my Windows PC....Still no joy....I have a Popcorn Hour on the same Network and I can connect to that no problem.
I noticed in the Menu/Setup/System/Network/FTP Setup......Ftpd Service Type: vsftpd Server......It says Current Status: Stopped.
There's a Green Button below that says: Enable....But when I press it nothing happens.

I have just tried to connect with DCC and DreamboxEdit...They both fail to connect..But they worked yesterday....It's as if my password has been changed.....But it's not been changed.
I just Stopped Samba....To see if that would do anything.....All it did was stop me connecting via smb on my Network.
So it looks like an FTP problem somewhere.

Hope someone can help.

Just done a back up restore prior to Samba Setup being activated and I can now connect via FTP.....DCC.....DreamBoxEdit...........Should I enable Samba again....And see what happens ?
How does Samba conflict with the FTP side of things ?
It looks like I can't have both running.....When I enable Samba Setup......FTP Setup changes to Stopped.......Can they both run together ?

Can someone with a VU Solo 2 check if they have Samba Setup and FTP Setup both running.......Much appreciated.

What do you mean ?

Wired through a router/modem....BT line.

I have a Duo2. Samba is running and I can connect with DCC, both at the same time.

The Solo2 should work in the same way.

Only thing I can suggest is that you set up your password from scratch again (you don't have to change it, just use the one you know) - in the box and in the DCC settings.

Just checked some more things - I have both Samba & FTP saying running in green. The FTP I have says Vsftpd server - you might have something different?

On My Solo2 I have Apollo 24 installed and have no problems when FTP'ing. I don't have Samba running but I do have FTP and Telnet running.

I also use FileZilla on a Win7 laptop.

Just checked again and both FTP and Samba are now working....Both show as running in the VIX menu........Thanks for the help.
