[VU+ Ultimo] Cant seem to get volume working on VU Ultimo using vix 3.0

Hi, i had a vu duo which worked brillant, just got a Vu Ultimo, Flashed Vix 3.0 , set up cams. epg , channel list , hard drive everything , but some reason the volume button doesnt work, can see led on remote flash when pressed but doesnt seem to do anything i messed about with the settings ,thought maybe the hdmi ci settings but cant get it working ??

Turn off HDMI CEC.

This is with the original Ultimo remote ?. as above turn off HDMI CEC if that does not work however maybe rossi set it up for his TV ?, if so you may have to reset the remote back to factory to clear the settings.
I just cant for the life of me remember the procedure to reset the remote.

ya got it from rossi, i did reflash vix 3.0 back in, still was same also turned off hdmi cec, so i gotta reset the remote, yes its the original remote with keyboard on underside, i have instructions so will read it see how to reset remote

I'm not 100 percent certain if the ultimo remote can be set to control the TV like the new Duo / uno remotes can but you can try this to see if it works.

Try Press Sequence: <<1 + 6>>, <9>, <9>, <6>

1. Press 1and 6 for three seconds until LED is on.
2. Press <9>, <9>, <6>.
3. This will reverse the RCU into no configuration state
