I was wondering if anyone could tell me if installing a dual cable tuner like this:

http://www.world-of-satellite.co.uk/VU/VU-vuplus-dvb-t-t2-c-hybrid-dual-twin-tuner-module

would prevent being locked out of my cable connection when viewing on the client in Client Mode when the server is already using a cable tuner?

In other words, will there always be a 'free' cable tuner that will allow the client to view (assuming the server is just using one tuner of course).

Hope this makes sense.

Yes assuming you have a vu box to put it in and you're not recording something on another channel

I can confirm that this works a treat.

It's another example of a quality box teamed up with Vix as being worth the extra investment.
