Hi, my motorised dish has stopped moving. I got my old Technomate receiver out and that moves the dish fine between Sats using Usals.
I am using the latest Vix image on my Duo and have been using Usals. I have tried 1. 2 and the same. If I go to positioner setup I can sometimes move the dish manually or by searching. I have locked on to a couple of Sats using 1. 2, all was working fine moving between 2 Sats but when I added a third Sat the dish competely stopped moving again. This has happened suddenly, it can't be my motor since the Technomate works fine. Other than reflash is there anything else I could do.

Thanks
Bub

check your coax cable

I tried my old Technomate and its moving the dish fine with Usals. I have re-flashed the VU and now the dish is moving as long as I don't use USALS. The problem I am now having is I am storing satellites manually and assigning them a number but when I move from sat to sat the dish wont move to the position I have stored. Do I need scan for all channels on each sat to rectify this? Is my VU moving the dish to my old USALS position ignoring my memorised sat positions?

Thanks for replies
Bub

I don't know the make of the motor and its too high up to check. If I update my channel sat list wont I lose all my bouquets?

Thanks
Bub

I would try uploading a set of Enigma 2 settings/bouquets such Catseye's latest and set you tuner as below, replacing long and latt with yours http://www.world-of-satellite.com/s...nigma2-Settings-file-75-East-to-58-West/page5

Still no luck with this, i have tried Catseyes and used Simple configuration mode but dish is not moving. I can move the dish manually fron config setup and my old Technomate moves the dish ok with Usals. I have also tried the original VU image and still the same. Either i return the VU or have a new motor fitted.

Thanks
Bub

try using advanced setting, there is an option to allow "extra voltage" you will need to input your USAL setting,
all sats would be set to LNB 1
once you have set up all the required sats, press ok to save

When you are NOT using usals you need to store the satellite location in each advanced satellite setting ie a different number for each satellite as well as in the setting for dish movement option

hi,

I had this problem when I updated to the latest version. make sure that in tuner configuration Tuner B is set to '2nd cable of motorised LNB'.

Im sure in a previous version i had it set to 'is equal to' but i doesnt work like that on this version. maybe it was my mistake but it works perfectly now

Good Luck
