I am just a layman you would have to ask Dimitar or Ev0 for accuracy, but the "standard" players are to the best of my knowledge Servicedvb, Servicemp3(gstplayer3), ServiceHisilicon(for Hisilicon receivers using their drivers but otherwise Servicemp3 rip off but probably more codec support).
Then you get Serviceapp which is widely used for the variants and more codecs.

But E2iplayer (which this thread was about) is just another plugin, which at the moment is updated every day, several times a day and its new friend E2iplayer-zadmario which seems to be a competing plugin with same original source IPTVPlayer ....(don't ask - no idea!)
Both are available (maybe by Distro) and OpenATV (jbleyel) quite happily commits the changes every day without any logic that I can see.

So which version/variant of E2Iplayer you get is questionable.

after updating openvix to 6.7.017 my iptv play did not work properly as i updates for the system update in settings, so updated using blue button to select vix image management from there, downloaded image to reflash, resore plugins and settings, everythin fine and working well.

But why with version 6.7.015 I can play & record without problems and without ServiceApp ? Friends also reported same problem with Duo4K SE, GigaBlue HD Quad. So something has changed between 6.7.015 and 6.7.017 which is causing this. I don't know if it is because changes with oe-alliance-core or OpenViX ?

Can you go back to 015 and retest please.

Almost, I have 6.7.015.001 on slot 3. I can retest shortly. If that's the same thing ?

EDIT: only with 4097 default player (no ServiceApp installed) I can watch PlutoTV with resolution 1280x720p30. Recording with red button (5 min) works.
EDIT 2 : I can watch the recording just fine.

Also there is another problem with gstplayer. Record 2 from Pluto or record one Pluto and watch one Pluto and the player crashes. Nothing to do with the plugin.

Did you tried simultaneous recording and watching Pluto channels?
What we tried here is not possible. If you try to zap to another Pluto channel during recording another Pluto channel it always have a crash. And that is on all images...

Yes. I was watching PlutoTV Finland channel 'MTV Ridiculousness' and pressed red button, set time to 5 min.

EDIT: Just tested with OpenBH 5.5.1.014 and 4097 Iptv Player: Default Player. Works same way, no problems.

Maybe you dont understand the problem....
So here are the steps to test:

1. Start Pluto channel
2. Start recording on it
3. Zap to ANOTHER Pluto channel

Is that not crashing for you?

with latest OpenATV, there is no crash when recording and zapping to next PlutoTV channel.
