Hi all. Got up this morning to find only a few of my channels showing epg :(

I have tried re-downloading them via cross epg ( open tv ). Tried deleting the .dat file from USB and restarting box but nothing is bringing it back.

Any ideas anyone?

I had a similar problem recently, and I never found the cause.

Do you have any relevant EPGs enabled in the EPG Settings?

All ok here, which box is it as early versions of the DUO will not come out of deep standby to do this. (other than crazylegs)

what are your settings

i delete "crossepg"file on the usb and all its components then re download epg. This always seems to put any issues right, dont know if its the right thing to do but works for me.

I never deleted the full folder only the .dat file, I'll try deleting the whole folder when I get home on Sunday :)

mine does this every now and then, itll randomly 'lose' the usb and hdd, and as i only have a couple of auto timers set, i normally dont notice untill a few days later, but, my epg is generally setup to save to usb, when this vanishes, it defaults to hdd, then when this vanishes, itll start keeping it in (off the top of my head so may not be accurate) etc/crossepg/

the ONLY way i have found to get the EPG back up and running again, is to completley delete the dat files AND the database files from all 3 locations, reboot the receiver, ensure the mounts are setup correctly, check the epg download location settings, then re download the epg data from the opentv providor

i know now when its lost the usb and hdd, even if i havent tried to watch a recording, as in the morning the display says 'DVB Service' (i sometimes go a week to ten days, or more, without actually watching a single tv programme) where its run out of space downloading the epg data (im assuming) and crashes and hangs

EDIT: realised after posting what section this is in, my receiver is a Duo

If you have an internal HDD in the Duo, it's by far the best place to store EPG.
USB is perfect for picons.
