[TM-TWIN-OE] Few issues - possibly bugs

Hi,
First of all thanks for the efforts of everyone involved in putting out the vix images. I used to be a software coder so know the time and effort involved in the end to end delivery.

Couple of observations/issues with Zeus on the Tm twin

1) agc value reads as 0. Been like this since build 19. Not sure about previous versions as I went to Zeus at 19.

2) not sure if this problem is with the image or the app. On the vu+ android app, pressing epg does not bring up crossepg. May be a key mapping issue somewhere.

3) previously on build 792, 808, Zeus 19, the scheduled crossepg download would work for a few days then not download anything. Manually doing it after a few days always worked. When I upgraded to Zeus 19 it worked flawlessly for 3 days then failed to download for the next 4 at which point I did a manual download. Will check 23 over the next few days to see how that fairs but suspect it will have the same issue.

As you can see the manual download last night worked fine but the scheduled download failed.

For the vu+ android app issue, I find pressing EPG on the phone brings up the same details as pressing info on the remote. I checked this on the Vu+ Solo2 and pressing EPG on the phone brings up the EPG. So there seems to be some sort of mapping that is not consistent between the Solo2 and the TM Twin.


The crossepg problem. After some further testing I have managed to work out that if I reboot my box, crossepg will function correctly for 3-4 days (sceduled download at 4:20am works). After this, it stops working with the log showing the above info.

If i reboot the box again, it will work for 3-4 days then the same problem. I am on Zeus 23 so no idea if Helios has resolved any of these problems.


Would really appreciate if anybody with a TM Twin could confirm they are seeing the same issues.

try deleting your crossepg folder, irc then new version in Zeus requires a new database.

Thanks for the response. I will give this a go and report back my findings. Hopefully it will solve the problem.

Do you have any views on the VU+ App problem with EPG on the TM Twin?

Update:

I removed the whole crossepg directory and scedhuled a crossepg download with the reciever in standby. The result was that the crossepg directory got re-created as did all the files. However all files with the expection of the crossepg.log file were 0 bytes.

I then proceeded to re-boot the reciever and then sceduled another epog download with the reciever in standby and this time it downloaded the epg data sucessfully. I'm not sure what the issue is exactly but it seems to be related to the fact that if the reciever is not rebooted after 3-4 days, it will not download the epg data.

Can anybody else confirm what I'm seeing?
