Ok - first things first - I confess, i updated my Vu+ Duo 2 without checking the forum and the instructions on here for flashing. My Bad :nono:
So after doing s standard Setup/Software update i realised that something wasnt right as i still kept getting the update icon and 13 items found in update list. Subsequently i have done the Couch Flash on the box and restored settings - the icon still appears. I then did it again .... this time it didnt ask me if i wanted to do settings restore....

But i am still seeing the Update Icon and 13 items to update.

I don't know what else to try and am very nervous about losing all of the refinement and personalisation i currently have.

Any suggestions gratefully received.

thanks.

Are you sure you have actually downloaded and couch flashed the latest version (036)?

Yes the info panel shows me the version as being Version 3.2 Build 036 Gstreamer 1.7.1

Login to the box and run:
Code:
opkg list-upgradable
which will at indicate what it thinks can be updated.

think ive done this right - heres what i get as a response:
root@vuduo2:~# opkg list-upgradable

Pretty sure that means that you've done an online upgrade to 36 from a previous version. You need to make sure you're couch flashing direct to 36

Silly question but after downloading the 036 image, you are clicking on it to go through the install process aren't you? Vix/image manager

so originally i did do the online as per OP - but then did the cuch flash subsequent by downloading via image manager and restoring the downloaded image to box

So, just to be clear, this is what you downloaded and couch flashed?

openvix-3.2.036.release-vuduo2_usb.zip

If so, then I'm not sure what's wrong. Might be worth trying to re-download and couch flash again. If that doesn't work, then try USB flash?

yes the file is correct version but shows slightly different configuration of name but is definitely 3.2.036 . tried again - still not worked looks like i will have to do USB flash over weekend.

If the name is not the same it is not the right file. Sounds like you are loading a user backup image that you have created from your 036 online update.

I think you may be right ! Doh!
Will confirm tomorrow as otherwise i may be divorced for keeping messing with the box !
