i have a vu duo which booted into logo screen but no further
on older fw
tried to install 125 on it and now its sitting with just the startup message on the front .
usb formatted fat32
its the normal one i use so i know it works
thanks john

it has a red light in top left corner that ive not noticed before .
meant to say its an original not a clone.

Obvious question and please tell the truth so we dont waste each others time, but is it a genuine receiver ?.

ok so I just noticed the not a clone part. so have you tried any other USB sticks ?.

yes sorry pheonix i just edited my above post its original
flash a few times never used any bootloaders.
always had vix on it.

Fir now unplug it for about 20 minutes, go make your self a cuppa and then try flashing the bootloader and a new image (bootloader first, then the image).

I've never had to flash a boot loader. Before on this
Just the latest vix images.
Can you point me in right direction of boot loader
Thanks agains m8

bootloaders are flashed exactly the same way as the images are, the main difference is they take seconds to flash instead of minutes. depending on the age of the receiver it may already have the latest botloader, you can grab a copy from www.openvix.co.uk in the bootloaders section but make sure you use the correct one for your receiver, using the wrong one will kill the boot sector.
