How do I set the channel the box defaults to when it gets switched on? I'm trying to set it to nothing all, that way when I stream I can shift between all available channels without zapping in the browser first. At the moment it's stuck on Channel 5, but I'm generally tuned to BBC when I switch the box off so I don't know why it always wakes to C5. I couldn't find a setting in the menus for this.

The receiver should start on the last service it was on at the time of shut down. Provided it is shut down correctly.

Anyway, to answer your question directly, in the channel selection screen, highlight the channel you want, press menu, select "set as startup service".
Please note: EPG screens are not Channel selection screens and will not have the option. On all images, woth no menu showing, press up (next to OK), you can the choose whether to select a bouquet, provider or orbital position. On ViX, you can also press the TV button.
