Hybrid Tuner Cable settings, NetID, Network ID

Just setting up my new mini combo, Satellite side all fine but struggling with the cable side !!! not sure if I've even selected the right tuner settings , could do with some serious help !!! is there a standard setting ???

Total Newbie !!!!

Thanks bassethound & Narsytojas , duplicated all the settings in your post !! tried a scan 4 times , but didn't find anything !!!! set provider area correctly !! I'm totally at a loss!! Am I correct in saying "if you have a broadband connection you will receive a signal " as the only other thing I could think of is, I'm not receiving a signal.

are you using a splitter or connecting directly to a cable feed and are you connecting to the correct cable socket on the box you will need a F Type Screw Connector Socket to RF Coax Aerial Male Adapter to do this

I have tried with the splitter in situ and tried the cable direct into the receiver , but nothing either way !!! I'm using the above fitting screwed into the F connector

Do you know if your cable line in live. Do you have broadband or TV at the moment?

If is it an old connection to the house it may have been disconnected.

Cable line is live as we have broadband /TV package , we havent used the TV side for about 5 years as we have always had SKY !! So the cable is live

i would try and see if the tuners are seated correctly and you are connecting to the right input i helped someone on another forum and the input/loop through were incorrectly labeled on the miraclebox

Do you still have a virgin TV box if so try that see if you get a picture on FTA, If your signal is too strong this can give issues i needed to fit a 10db attenuator inline with my tuner to get it to work good luck

No longer have the Virgin box , it was so painfully slow my Daughter whinged so much !!! I wonder if what you say about signal strength could be a cause !! we are right on a main road , so a very short run to our house.

Not to confident with opening the box up !!! Thankfully Maxwell is coming over Saturday so if I'm still having problems he'll take a Hammer to the insides of it! !!!!!!!

like i said someone with a Miraclebox Premium Mini HD had the same problem with the cable tuner sockets on there box being missed labeled

On MB Mini you can not go wrong. Cable feed input is Female RF in.

Did you try the other option which is 6887 - then do the complete scan.
