I have tried multiple times to create an Image Backup but each time it stops at 15/100 and eventually reports 'Timeout elapsed, sorry'.

The backup location is to a network share (/media/hdd) with masses of space and there's nothing running on the box other than a broadcast.

Settings Backups to the same destination are created without any issues.

Anyone any thoughts on what the issue might be?

Give me the debug log

Uploaded. Fingers crossed it helps!
Sort of...

This command:
Code:
dd if=/dev/mmcblk0p6 of=/media/hdd/imagebackups/Vu+ openvix-vuduo4kse-release-temp/vmlinux.bin
is failing.
Why it is failing is not mentioned - it just displays the command options.
At the moment I can't find any conditions that could cause that...except if that space after the + is real.

Is this a configurable prefix? If so, remove the space.

Has this image backup ever worked (since I see you have it running on a weekly(?) schedule?

As birdman has noted you are using a user prefix for the backups that appears to be causing the issue

This is a fault in the code being sent to the command line. If there is a space in a string the command line thinks the space is the end of the string so the whole string must be quoted.

e.g.
Code:
root@vuultimo4k:~# echo "this is a sample file" > "/tmp/file-1 with space.txt"
root@vuultimo4k:~# dd if="/tmp/file-1 with space.txt" of="/tmp/file-2 with space.txt"
0+1 records in
0+1 records out
22 bytes (22B) copied, 0.000141 seconds, 152.4KB/s
root@vuultimo4k:~#

Now try without the quotes:
Code:
root@vuultimo4k:~# dd if=/tmp/file-1 with space.txt of=/tmp/file-2 with space.txt
BusyBox v1.36.1 () multi-call binary.

Usage: dd [if=FILE] [of=FILE] [ibs=N obs=N/bs=N] [count=N] [skip=N] [seek=N]
        [conv=notrunc|noerror|sync|fsync]
        [iflag=skip_bytes|count_bytes|fullblock|direct] [oflag=seek_bytes|append|direct]

Copy a file with converting and formatting

        if=FILE Read from FILE instead of stdin
        of=FILE Write to FILE instead of stdout
        bs=N Read and write N bytes at a time
        ibs=N           Read N bytes at a time
        obs=N           Write N bytes at a time
        count=N Copy only N input blocks
        skip=N          Skip N input blocks
        seek=N          Skip N output blocks
        conv=notrunc    Don't truncate output file
        conv=noerror    Continue after read errors
        conv=sync       Pad blocks with zeros
        conv=fsync Physically write data out before finishing
        conv=swab Swap every pair of bytes
        iflag=skip_bytes        skip=N is in bytes
        iflag=count_bytes       count=N is in bytes
        oflag=seek_bytes        seek=N is in bytes
        iflag=direct    O_DIRECT input
        oflag=direct    O_DIRECT output
        iflag=fullblock Read full blocks
        oflag=append Open output in append mode
        status=noxfer   Suppress rate output
        status=none     Suppress all output

Space removed, problem solved! Thank you.

This is a good example, why it is a real bad idea to use blanks in a filename.
