Reflash again but this time don't use the settings backup. you can extract the backup file using 7zip if there are any files in there you need or say yes to the settings backup bu say no when it asks you if you want to restore plugins, only restore the settings.

Is your receiver genuine or clone? How did you reflash USB or via the receiver?

I don't think this request is silly at all. I am just intrigued as to why this update works fine for some but not others.

I would hope that the development team would also like to know the reason(s) for this to ensure it doesn't happen in future updates?

To help I have two boxes - XT9000 and Solo2. Both running v142 and both using blue HD skin. Xtrend updates fine (to 147) but Solo2 just reboots. I have owned e2 boxes for 4 years so I know how to 'get round the issue' but I am just intrigued as to why?

I know the developers put a huge amount of time into making the images as simple as possible for everyone to use and this by its very nature introduces complexities so I would never complain that I would need to put in a bit of additional effort to update rather than 'press a button'!

Anyone having issues: -
1) Telnet upgrade

[COLOR=#FF0000][SIZE=4]init 4 && opkg update && opkg upgrade && init 6[/SIZE][/COLOR]

2) Fresh flash, try with settings restore first, in you get issue, do a fresh flash and setup with no restore.
