[VU+ Duo2] MediaPortal + HbbTV = crash streaming video

Hello,

i have a new Problem on my new Vu+Duo2 with streaming videos from the plugin "MediaPortal" when HbbTV is installed.

To solve the Problem i have do a clean flash with Apollo 0.37 and without restore settings.
-First i have installed MediaPortal and MediaInfo from Feed. Both plugins works perfect, i can stream Videos and also recording streams is OK. :thumbsup:
-Then i have installed my most needed plugins from feed, streams from Mediaportal still working.:thumbsup:
-Now i have installed my favourite Skin MatrixHD from feed, streams from Mediaportal still working.:thumbsup:
-Now i have installed HbbTV from feed. After this i can stream videos from Mediaportal no more. at the time the stream begins i see the boot wallpaper, hear sound from stream and then userinterface restart.
-After deinstall HbbTV streams from MediaPortal are again ok. :thumbsup:

Is there a way to get MediaPortal streaming working with installed HbbTV? What can i do? I have attached crashlog from last failed try.

Hello,

i think MediaPortal + HbbTV is very bugy. One Stream ok->next time Stream crash, one menu ok->next time menu crash.

attached many more crash and debug logs. Hope it helps.

there mus be another problem as I have mediaportal and hbbtv installed on my Duo2 and have no such problems.

One of your crashes seemed to be connected with a missing/wrong element of your skin. What I found out is that mediainfo 2.2 seems to have problems with OpenViX.

I would say that you make a backup of your image, install #37 new and only install mediaportal and hbbtv for a test.

i believe is mediaportal and Vix image....i have gigablue quad and mediaportal crasched all the way i installed only vhannibal auto. i dad not this with the horiginal image

I think the skin is not the problem. chrashes come also with Default or VixNight-HD.
Next time i will test without mediainfo.

curios when HbbTV is installed, i can play the same file once with crash and another time again without crash.
without HbbTV it never comes to a crash.

All the logs show segfaults (driver crashes). As a segfault show no information at all about the cause, there's nothing that can be done (apart from yourself trying to find a mode in which it works fine; e.g. less plugins).

What`wrong. on my old Duo with the genial Vix3.0.808 i had no one crash in last year.

PS: Why do you have videoenhancement installed? Do you use a component or scart connection?

Openvix without infobartunerstate? This is but the most important plugin ever.

With videoenhancement i disable sharpening and i found i become a sharper Picture on 720p over HDMI.

it looks funny. Your crash was when reading the width of your resolution and the line is correct for Duo2. Which resolution do you use? On my 1920x1080 cat /proc/stb/vmpeg/0/xres shows 780 which is correct for base 16. Do you have autoresolution activated?

autoresolution? I think not. My resolution is fixed to 720x576 50Hz.

The most important plugin? Can't be, I never used it (apart from testing).
OK, anybody has different wishes of course. So just out of curiosity: why is it important?
Anyway: please see if you get the same issues without the plugin.


About videoenhancement: that will only be about SD-channels I presume? And all other settings are left to default?

In videoenhancement I'm disable sharpening. Give me a more detailed picture for sd and hd. All other I left to default.

The 'getValue' you see in your latest crashreport in not in use by ViX. So it must be related to a plugin. No idea which one though.
But as you have quite a number of plugins installed, and none of our team coud reproduce your issue, the best idwa would be to flash, use restore for settings but not for plugins. Run the image for some time without any plugin installed, and if all goes well add one plugin per two days or so.

Active at this time was EPGrefresh in background (Pseudorecord) or Autotimer.
I think Enigma is same as Android, it need some time to run without issue. Today was all OK and i have nothing changed.

If you don't want to follow advise there's no way to find the issue. And issues don't just disappear by doing nothing (apart from switching off the box ).

And nope: Android is an operating system, whereas Enigma is an application. You can't compare the two.

no i have do a test with the new clean build 064. Only installed plugins mediainfo, mediaportal, TSmedia, TV-Spielfilm and HbbTV.
Now i have test again all Streams from the listeted crashlogs and i can say the Streams run perfect. No more crash on my DUO 2. :thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup:
Have new drivers and kernel in build 064 solve the issue with streams? I hope.
Now i will install all my other plugins, MyMetrix Skin and setup it all. I hope after this i have stream problems nomore. Will report after i have do this.

There was no new kernel for the DUO2, but indeed new drivers. Not sure if that would have fixed anything in that area.
But there is a new version of MediaPortal on the feeds of 64.
