No sound from surround sound system!?

Hi, im trying to setup a surround system connecting to my vu duo but I'm not getting any sound. I have connected into the aux output on the duo to the aux input on the system, is there a setting or something to turn on the aux output on the duo or am I connecting incorrectly?

For a surround sound system, you'd need to connect via the toslink optical cable (on duo, the s/pdif output). If your surround sound system can handle hdmi, then you could also connect the hdmi cable for surround sound output...

Ok thanks, the optical part on my surround sound is only an output...would this still work?

I have the following connections:

*Audio In -AUX
*Audiuo Out
*Digital Out - Optical
*Digital Out - Coaxial
*Digital In

Looks like no optical input is available. A work-around would be to use the SPIF/DF-out of the TV (provided it's connected via HDMI).

All sorted now used aux on the vu duo i just had the settings incorrect on the system, thanks for the help
