when i manually install my camd i get the message "non-standard camd, may fail" (or so). how do i make my camd a standard camd to avoid the warning message? thanks.

maybe i should add that the softcam works fine. it's just the message that annoys me. :-)

i think i sorted it out myself. :-)
by the way... shouldn't
Code:
self.session.open(MessageBox, _("Found none standard softcam, trying to start, this may fail"), MessageBox.TYPE_INFO, timeout=10, close_on_any_key=True)
"none standard" read "nonstandard"?
i'm not a native speaker but "none standard" doesn't sound right. :-)

forgot to mention the solution: just rename your softcam to scam<name of your softcam>. there are other options but this one is the easiest.

i think there is an inconsistency between start and restart a softcam.
starting scam for example works without the "non standard cam" message but a restart produces the message. why?
