a friend has just received his brand new out of the box vu-duo today ------- I am trying to flash ViX-2.3.204-vuduo_usb but the box will not read it ?? I have formatted usb stick fat 32 plus tried other usb sticks with no avail any advice would be great

why such a old and frankly no longer supported image ?.

for a new receiver go for the latest publically available image which is ViX 3.0-808, you can download it directly from www.openvix.co.uk

thanks for that but still no joy ?? downloaded openvix-3.0.701-vuduo2_usb plus openvix-3.0.808-vuduo2_usb just not reading usb stick tried front usb port and the back usb ports ? full formats on usb sticks

Try formatting the stick with the HP format tool, you can find a link in the flashing tutorials also on www.openvix.co.uk if it still does not work try a different flash drive / usb stick.

also we need to clear up exactly which box your trying to flash here as there was never a vix 2.3 image for the Duo2.

yes your right I had put the wrong image sorry about that still having the problem is it possible to flash the image from a laptop using Dcc ?
as ive only ever flashed an image on the duo with a usb stick ?

one last problem flashing Ccam will not go in is this the right one I am trying to flash e1-CCcam_2[1].1.4_100204.tar
thanks for looking

You have an E2 receiver, why are you using an E1 installer?

Download from softcam section of openvix.co.uk You will have to manually create a CCcam.cfg and transfer to /etc/
