i think i have experienced a movieselection bug. when i play back a .mp4 file playback starts and round about 1s later the playback stops and restarts from the very beginning. as this doesn't happen with .ts recordings it could be a gstreamer problem... no?

any idea what causes this problem? could also be a jump back to 0.

Hi sorry l miss lead the forum post it is the openvpn plugin, normally found in the plugins
Currently when selecting the “download plugins “ it indicates the url is incorrect

One re-appearing issue (it was there at 6.7 and still present with 6.8) is that back-up of EPGImport plugin settings doesn't backup custom lists of channels (custom .xml files). After upgrade you have to copy back your own .xml's manually into /etc/epgimport .... I don't mind to do it, but it's worth to mention it in documentation (you have to save them manually somewhere before doing upgrade).

Where do you see that message? Can you get a screen grab? And the debug log?

I checked the sx88v2 feed and openvpn is present.

If these are files you have added personally you need to add them to your backup, done via Menu > Setup > VIX > Backup Manager.

Hi Sorry for late update have been upgrading my boxes to release 6.8.001 and the Octagon sf8008 has been no problem however when upgrading Octagon SX88V2 and the Technomate twin4k the upgrade was sucessful however in both cases the boxes upgraded the release but did not install the VPN manager Plugin which had been installed under release 6.7.020 but wasn't installed as part of the upgrade. installed 6.8.001. When l realised the VPN manager was not installed l proceed to look at plugins. When selecting the download plugin it indicated a error and in the URL "contact openvix for support". normally i use a guide by davesayers2014 to install the VPN where l can install nordvpn, Surfshark
I am upable to provised a sceen picture as l simply re-nstalled the 6.7.020 release but happy to upgrade onceagain for more information

i tested with 6.7.020 and the bug is in there as well...

you could use this link https://mediathekviewweb.de/ to download an mp4 file. i use hd quality. i think it doesn't matter which one you choose because all of the ones i downloaded dont work. looks like a generic problem. thanks.

So it looks like something is broken with your network connection setup on that box.

Hi Huevos thank you for your review of the log l will have to look at the network config on both the Technomate 4k and the Octagon SX88 as they both had what appear to have same problem

I will investigate further, it seems stange that this has only been evident following the upgrade. Under release 6.7.020. l was able to download the 6.8.001 down to the box from image dowloads and with 6.8.001 i am able to FTP to the box

thanks for testing, but did you observe the first few seconds of the playback? did playback start without a jump back to start after 1-2 seconds. the second start then plays back fine.
