[VU+ Solo2] Problem with Apollo build 26

Hi, last night I tried upgrading from Apollo 24 to 26 on my Solo2. I was only using the base image from Download feeds and had both Image and Backup settings to hand just in case. My only plugin was CCcam 2.3.0 which I've always used through Vix 3, Zeus, Helios and Apollo builds. I had read the posts about avoiding online upgrade and must do FLASH upgrade WITHOUT settings restore. So I avoided online upgrade and did flash via downloads. I opted to try the RESTORE settings option to see what it would look like but with intention of repeating without restore. It seemed to work! But lest there be unforeseen problems, I reflashed and did not restore settings. Went through all the normal questions with right answers. At the point where I should have started getting at least FTV channels (after installing CCcam plugin) I could get no video or sound. The channel scan had found 900 odd channels. Region was UK,NI-HD with channel swap. In the end I gave up and re-flashed 24 from a USB image and restored the settings. Any advice on how I should proceedand re-attempt the 26 install.

Hello :wave: did you also set up the EPG and run CrossEPG that usually sets up your channel listing for the receiver

just had a thought, did you start the scan in ABM and set your providers order

Yes did both ABM (with and without Judge's optimized channel swap .xml file to cater for the "dark channels") and Cross EPG. Normally at that point in an install I would be getting channels with no tuned Boquets and no EPG listings for them but I was getting nothing at all - just the blank default VIX Night HD skin. Does the new OE shipped with Apollo 26 mean that I need a newer CCCam IPK instal file? I have always used 2.3.0 but when I tried looking for newer got "feeds are down" message - which in itself may be an indicator of a bigger problem with 26 potentially?

Build 26 it self was stable, the feeds down issue has arisen with build 27, as for your tuner issues you do not need any form of cam in order to view FTA channels.

I am using 2.3.0 with my Duo2 and every thing is working fine I only mentioned about the ABM & CrossEPG because I have at the odd occasion when I could not get any channels showing up until I had ran them, and the feeds seem to be set to unstable at the moment but you could still enable experimental updates if you wanted

Apollo 26 is working fine for me on both my LX3 and Duo2

OK - going to give it another go from scratch. Agree with phoenix I should be getting basic FTA channels like BBC or UTV before any CCcam stuff. But I only had the skin itself. Will post again later this afternoon with results.

OK - update on reflashing 26 - yet again I got no default TV coming through but I decided to key in channel num 101 which is normally BBC1 NI HD - got Ch5 and scanning upwards - random channels. So now going to proceed with basic base build and do ABM, EPG etc

When I upgraded from 024 to 026 I found that when I activated pip the sound muted. I am back on 024 for now.

all seems OK now after repeating it and for confidence selecting ch 101 after the start of flash and before customising.. Dont know what went wrong with flash yesterday - today's was OK via the "start from scratch option" - off to reset timers now

I had issues too with ABM on 026 (vu solo2), threw in the towel and went back 024

sounds like new OE isnt stable, go back to 2.2 or 2.1 guys

All OK now on 26 after re-applying auto-timers and any other tweaks I had on record. Was quite a few channel swaps re the HD thing - 503 and 570 also 512 and 518 were new to me. Is there an up to date .xml file somewhere that captures them all? Also just done online upgrade to Apollo 28 as it mentioned a few Solo fixes and some new picons.

Nope. Hopefully fixed by VU in a driver update sometime soon...

Just upgraded to 059 and the issue is still there. I thought the driver update would have sorted it.

I have a Vu+ Solo 2 and don't seem to have this issue?
