recordings don't play

Hi all, newbie here and struggling a bit with the vu duo. I've got a hard drive fitted , loads of stuff recorded which played fine but now no recordings will play off the fitted hard drive.Stuff on my media server plays fine on the box through the network but not from the built in hard drive. If I select a program on the hard drive the info box flashes up for a second then disappears and the vu duo goes back to live tv.Tried to fix it by reflashing and thats a whole new story , I got the box up and running but the problem remains. Any ideas ?

What happens when you make a new recording on the hard drive. Does that play ?

No, the info screen for the recording appears at the bottom for a second or two then goes back to live tv.Although the recordings are listed there doesn't seem to be anything recorded, and the hard drive space available doesn't reduce at all.

Sorted. All my problems caused by a short cct in the second LNB lead.
