Restarting GUI kills my internet connection totally, i.e. after install a new skin. can not even surf wireless from my computer or pad.
Tried to restart internet connection in box menu but no success.

Restarting the box solves the problem, but i can repeat the steps to kill inrnet connection over and over ...

Box wirered lan to router, all other stuff wireless.

Using a linux comptible editor such as notepad++ ( not to be mistaken with windows notepad)

Edit mg_cfg.

The line that has (sorry can't remember the bits with the x)
Code:
L: { 03 } 172.XXX.XXX

change to
Code:
L: { 00 }

You have basically been ddos yourself

Make sure your log setting of mg_cfg is not pointing to somewhere on the internet. Options are as follows:

Code:
# Log option, summ of:
# 00 off
# 01 network udp log
# 02 log to console
# 04 file, appended ! delete it by yourself, before it eat all your hdd
# + IP udp-port log-file-name
L: { 03 } 172.16.1.1 28007 /tmp/mgcamd.log

Probably best setting L: to 00 in the first instance. The example above (where L: is set to 03) is likely to push your logging out onto the internet!

Edit: beaten to it by abu!

I edited my mg_cfg, and now it works... forgotten to reload the files first so the first attempt failed, but it is past midnight over here by now... hahaha
Restarted the box and now I do not ddos myself any more.

Thank you... i really love the VIX and the great support forum, never seen any faster support than over here ;)
