[VU+ Solo2] Satellite and Cable tuner running together?

Apologies in advance but this may be a silly question but am pretty new to all this...

With all the recent issues with HD channels going missing...would it be possible to run sat and cable tuners in parallel ? I have a Solo 2 and im sure I have an additional tuner slot.

Solo 2 has soldered tuners which you can only use for satellite.

You will have to use a USB tuner.

Will that USB tuner have all the HD channels that have gone missing?

Do you have any pointers or instructions you can point me towards on how to set this up...and will it run in parallel to the sat tuner I have already set up?

Yes, providing you get a line from a cable supplier.

However, I think usb tuners are still relatively new so I don't know recordings will work as normal with both in-built satellite tuner and usb cable tuner.

This thread mentions something about problems with a USB tuner (I haven't read it so it may not be relevant to your needs/concerns).

You need to find out from someone with such a setup to see if there are any problems.
