Sky Go, the multi-platform live and on-demand TV service introduced by Sky last year, now has more than 2.5 million active users.
The broadcasting giant also confirmed that the platform records more than 10 million view requests per week, reports T3.
Sky Go, which enables subscribers to catch-up on sports, movies and entertainment, is available on multiple platforms, including PC, Xbox 360 and iPad. The service was bolstered by the launch of an Android application in February.
"It has been incredibly successful and I think it talks to the niche that we are really seeing now of customers wanting to watch this stuff when they are out and about," said Lyssa McGowan, director of communication products at Sky.
Sky now has 11 smartphone and tablet apps to its name, offering a range of services such as news and sports updates. Its applications have racked up more than 22 million downloads between them.
Sky Go is available as a free download from numerous digital storefronts.
