[VU+ Duo2] Strange EPG data "Extras is a light ......."

Hi All,

Has anyone come across is issue with their EPG, i'm currently using ZoomZoomLuke's Custom 28.2 xml file but everytime I press the EPG button most channels are showing "Extras is a light hearted..." (See attached image), I tried swapping providers to Freesat and Sky but no luck.

Any advice welcome.

Never seen that before. What EPG sources are you using?

My setup runs Auto Bouquets Maker, at 3.45am & crossEPG at 4.20. Hope that info helps.

Doubt very much it's ABM related. More than likely the EPG sources used or corrupt EPG. Have you tried using the purge EPG option?
What EPG sources are you using?

When you say EPG source could you expand and I haven't tried an EPG purge how do I find that option?

Would "sky Uk open TV (Astra2 on 28.2)" be the EPG source?

Yes, that's the EPG source. If that's the only one you're using & fresh download doesn't work, I would try deleting your EPG first.

EPG data is kept in live memory. Merely deleting would be inadequate as it would be rewritten.

You need to put Enigma to sleep first by using telnet command "init 4"

So far I've done the following:-
1) init 4
2) deleted the epg.dat
3) init 3

That failed to work so I updated the box to Apollo 24 that also failed to sort out the epg

I've attached an image showing the channel information, the channel information corrects its self after a second or so and displays the correct tv information

some channels show the correct information from the main epg for example itv2 and itv3 and syfy are those channels on the same transponder?

Hopefully last post on the subject, just in case anyone else encounters this problem, Its all sorted, I ran the defrag option which seemed to sort out my problem with the EPG

Hi,
I saw this before, but I thought that it happened when there was a conflict in EPG. You have two sources: the weekly EPG and, for most channels, also a "this prog" "next prog" that is sent OTA. When the two don't match one is displayed and immediately after the other is gathered the info is changed. Was I wrong?
