[VU+ Ultimo4K] Streaming

Hello again. I’m confused. Nothing new there
I’m getting a lot of buffering within my lan while watching my Vu+4K on a iOS app - both eremote pro and vu+ player hd. This is regardless of whether I am close to the router / modem or not. In terms of the streaming from the box to the iPad is this affected by the transcoding plugin setup or is that purely for watching via the webif gui? And in any case what are the best default settings for the transcoding plugin? Thanks.

Do you need the transcoding plugin, I thought the ultimo4k had hardware transcoding?

Do you even need transcoding within your lan?

That’s exactly what I’m wondering. And could it being on interfere with the quality of the video and the buffering I’m experiencing within the lan.

which port did you configure? 8001 is normal and 8002 is transcoded. Which resolution has the service you try to watch?

Ah, it’s 8002. I should have it on 8001 then? Resolution is usually HD

Btw, I do not seem to be able to change the port from 8002 to 8001 even in advanced mode.

Hi,
I think 8001 is reserved for normal streaming. Most Android Apps allow it to change the used ports.
