I just flashed my box with "openvix-6.8.007.release-vuzero4k_usb" latest available, so far so good...everything is great until i go to enable autostart from the swap manager; i have an 8g sandisk flash-drive with 2 separate partitions, one of which is an 800mb swap partition, the other remaining partition is mounted as an hdd for epg, picon and such...then it complains about creating a swap-file first, but i don`t want it, cuz i already have swap partition for that....how do i fix it? is it a bug?



ps...before upgrading to openvix, i used openatv 7.6, and swap partition worked just fine.

So openatv probably added it as a swap in the fstab, so do the same

thx twol for taking the time i appreciate it, but i don`t have openatv right now, how do i add the swap partition to fstap?

The line for a swap partition in /etc/fstab is:

UUID=6d2e1169-fcf1-4c62-8031-e3537442afc5 none swap sw 0 0

(with the relevant UUID set)
Or you could use /dev/sdb2 in place of the UUID setting. But that leaves you hostage to the order in which devices get loaded (even the NVMe devices on my laptop have been known to show up "reversed").
The make sure you add /etc/fstab to your backups - so this doesn't get lost on a reflash.
