Hi Guys, Im trying to create a swap file thats larger then 96mb. Is it possible to create one via telnet if so what commands would i need to use and would the system recognize it when in the vix menu?

Thanks in advance

Not sure about the solo, as haven't been in to that menu for a while on solo, but just checked on Ultimo (and think it's the same for all boxes, but can't check at mo), and can create a 256mb swap on Ultimo:

No idea why you want to use such an old image. If you would be using a recent version, you could simply click a button in the menu.

Thanks guys, its my friends box and he likes the v2 image he does not want me to upgrade it to v3 which i think i recommended. Lately his usb mount died so im going over tomorrow to setup a new usb stick and swap file since cross epg does need a more of ram :) If i want to create a swap file of 256mb would it be
Code:
dd if=/dev/zero of=/media/usb/swapfile bs=1024 count=31744
whats the max the v2 solo box supports

Thanks
