Targeted ad's ?

Couple of weeks ago I seemed to be getting a lot of ads for Irish stuff
I am in Ireland but using Astra 28.2 watching all the usual channels
Last night I noticed a new Quest HD ROI ( republic of Ireland ) with Irish ad's for Irish companies like Irish water :-(
I assume people in the UK are not getting ad's for Irish stuff so how do they know to target me with Irish ad's when I am watching content from Astra 28.2 ?

Any insights would be much appreciated

The ads are dependent on what channel list/bouquet you are using. Are you using ABM to generate a SKY FTA list for Ireland?
Channel 4 are the same with targeted ads for the Irish bouquets. I have ABM set for London area. I don't really need to see UTV or BBC NI, so I never see Irish ads - just UK ones.

No not using ABM
I just have one list in Favorites with Irish and uk channels
I think I'm using open tv epg downloader

Usual mixup between EPG and channels/bouquets. He was asking how you were made your bouquets, not how you obtained EPG. Anyway....

Select Quest HD using channel selection method, not EPG method.
With no menus/screens showing, Press Up (Next to OK) > Green (satellites) > Current Transponder

You will see the multiple versions of that channel. One channel is intended for ROI, hence the Irish adverts. The other is for UK. Use the one you want.

Sorry for any confusion
I don't use ABM
I have one list saved in Favorites which combines UK and Irish channels as in the following screenshot
I was trying to understand how my list changed to HD quest ROI from the usual Quest HD

Thought I would add that I use the open EPG downloader in case that made any difference
I have removed the ROI version and replaced with the UK one hopefully It wont change back as I have no wish to watch any Irish gov sponsored ads

Not sure how it changed, it shouldn't have. I know that they were going to close one of the channels that broadcasts in both entities, Maybe that is related?

Glad your bouquet is how you want now. Hopefully it stays that way.
