[VU+ Duo2] Text input on EPG search, directory creation etc not working from remote control

When I enter the numeric keys in order to spell text for epg searches, it only displays the numeric value, and not characters. I have enabled Text support under System->Remote Control Code - what else can I do?

Any workarounds for this issue?

Please enable text support (in RC code or so).
