Hi all,

I'm using Vix v.381 on my Ultimo with 1TB internal disk and two usb sticks.

One of usb sticks (16giga) is for timeshifting. I've never had any problems with it-timeshift works perfectly with Vix.

All storage devices are mount correctly by putting their UUID in /etc/fstab -so they are always mounted in their correct locations:
hard disk>/dev/sda1>/media/hdd
usb disk 2.0>/dev/sdb1>/media/usb
usb silicon power>/dev/sdc1>/media/sdc1 (this one for timeshifting)

When I want to record timeshifted event , system shows a message at the end of the event:
"Timeshit save failed!
[Errno18] invalid cross-device link
global name 'statvfs' is not defined"

Could anybody help me to solve this problem?

BTW. thanks for the great image and a friendly WOS Forum.

If you mount your devices using the VIX mount manager rather than editing fstab & reboot, do the devices & TS work ok then?

Thanks for attention

Using Vix mount manager very often makes my storage devices mount in wrong locations ( we all know this Enigma issue).

But sometimes, when storage devices after reboot are mounted in their correct locations- there is no problem with timeshift (without editing fstab).

To be frank I dont remember if it was possibile to record timeshifted event before editing fstab.

The error "[Errno18] invalid cross-device link" seems to suggest, that you can't have timeshift and movie on 2 different devices.
Trying to link the timeshift file to a recording under movie fails.

I've done some tests:

1. On Vix v.381 removed UUID from /etc/fstab.
This didn't help. Still unable to save timeshift. (storage devices mounted correctly by Vix mount manager)

2.Installed Vix v.204 (my backup) without UUID in fstab - all ok. Timeshift saved succesfully.

3.Installed Vix v.370 (backup) - saving timeshift without problem, no matter UUID in fstab or not.

It can suggest that problem is with build381. Builds 381 and 370 were used with the same set of plugins and settings.

Btw. Can anybody know if Vix offer mounting storage devices with label in /etc/fstab ?

regards,
jarek
