me again ....................

Ive got 28.2 tuned in is there any info re simple a motorised tuning set up. I have a motorised dish was easy on my vu plus prob easy with the mutant , just unfamiliar.

Also the recording list is all compressed and un readable - has anyone experienced this . I have the latest Vix.

Many thanks

Please don't mix two issues in one thread.

Please read the following:
Thread will be moved to the ViX-Team-Images-Support-Discussion section. It is best to use the image support section for image issues as problems/solutions are usually the same irrespective of receiver. It also helps others searching for the same issue although they may have another receiver.

Please read the thread in link below which explains things better.

No harm has been done, no need to apologise. Please bear in mind for future support questions.

For your recordings being squashed, read this post:

Scanning works the same on a Vu and Mutant, in fact it is the same for all receivers. Describe what you are doing.

Scanning:
Menu > Setup > Service searching > manual scan

Tuner: Select the tuner with the motorised dish
Type of scan: Select Multisat

A list of satellites will be shown, default being disable. Enable those you wish to scan.

Clear before scan clears our dead channels from the transponders a scan is conducted on. I usually enable this.

Press Green to scan.

Abu thanks re the HDD issue sorted.

The scan im a little stuck .... manual scan as followed your directions- but not getting a list of different sats only 28.2 . I assuming something elsewhere is wrong on my initial set up.

thanks

Remind us,
What is the hardware setup. How many tuners, what is connected to what. etc.

What is the software setup for each tuner? State for each tuner please.

Can you also post a screenshot of the scan page.

Have you used any channel settings/bouquets from anywhere? Reason for asking is they may have a satellites missing from the xml file.

thanks twin tuner but only using 1 input at the moment through tuner A. Mutant HD51 latest vix. I think all the major sats are there I only really want 13 & 19.2 along with 28.2

When I had my VU I painstakingly tuned each one in one at a time

The image is the same whether it is Vu or Mutant.

OK, you have a Motorised dish connected to tuner A. (hardware)
What is the tuner configuration for Tuner A. (software)

Is there anything connected to Tuner B? (hardware)
What is the tuner configuration for Tuner B. (software)

nothing in the B at the moment -
yes hardware connected to A.
Sorry what do you mean software config? - sorry

hardware = physical things. dish/motor/lnb/switch
software= what tuner configuration you have set in the software of the receiver.

just take a picture/screenshot and upload it for both tuners

you also need to post a picture of the scan screen. it works for everyone, but not for you. so showing may help you.

as above fumbling around did this scanned the says obviously wrong lost 28.2 now.......

That is your tuner configuration. You have put yourself somewhere in Germany. Correct your co-ordinates.

Can you post a picture of the screen with correct co-ordinates.

I hope you scrolled down to OK and selected teh satellites you wanted.
Post a screenshot of that page too.

Two eyes better than one etc.....
