I purchased an external DVD USB device, so that I could watch DVDs; it is my understanding that is largely a plug and play deal, and that the standard media player plugin is sufficient.
Specifically I have a Samsung SE-208GB (http://www.amazon.co.uk/Samsung-Slim-DVD-Writer-Glossy/dp/B00MAG2HFS). Problem is that a newly inserted DVD isn't automatically recognised, and I don't get a popup offering to play the disc, and furthermore if I do manually go into the VIDEO_TS folder and play that way, then playback stutters - it seems like the STB cannot read data quickly enough from the drive?
I have the DVD drive connected to one of the USB ports on the back of the STB.
Is there a list of "supported" USB DVD drives somewhere? Or are there any drivers I can use to get my current one working?
