[ViX_Misc] Using 1/3 4/6 7/9 in Live TV mode

Is it to have the remote control buttons 1/3 4/6 7/9 work the same (i.e. jump) in Live TV mode as they do when Live TV is paused or when watching a recording?
I love this feature!
At the moment, if I'm watching live TV and I want to rewind, I have the use the "<<" button. Once I have rewound and am watching TV that's not live, I can use 1/3 4/6 7/9 to jump. But as soon as I catch up with Live TV again, the 1/3 4/6 7/9 change the channel

Those numbers are only for when watching media that's recorded, as soon as what you're watching becomes live then they revert to normal behaviour of being used to change the channel.

Maybe I wasn't clear enough with the explanation. The reason I mentioned "1/3 4/6 7/9" button grouping is because that's how I've seen this functionality described everywhere else.

I want 1,4,7 to be able to jump backwards from the live TV point. I thought it would be obvious that I wasn't looking for 3, 6, 9 to jump forward (I'd need 1.21 gigawatts and flux capacitor to achieve that )

I want to stop using rewind and fast forward buttons completely on my Gigablue Quad Plus because fast forward does not work properly (driver issue that Gigablue are aware of and are trying to fix).

Simply put when you have caught up to live tv time when you were in time shift or watching behind the remote will switch back to changing channels as you are no longer watching time shift/recording and remote is needed to change the channel you are watching or enter menus etc..
If when your in time shift and you are watching behind and wish to change channel you are given a choice to save the behind/time shift as a movie and you can leave time shift and watch another channel whilst your previous channel you were watching in time shift/behind to continue to record till finished....maybe.

All jokes aside it is physically impossible to use the seek buttons on a live TV show until you put the receiver into some type of timeshift mode (using the pause or rewind buttons etc), once you are in time shift you can use the seek buttons, this is how it is designed and it's not going to change.

It's a pity as I think it would be a nice feature. The 1,3,7 buttons are an excellent way of jumping. much easier to used than the fwd/rewind buttons

you can use them but you first need to put the box into timeshift mode by either hitting pause or rewind, once you do that you can use the seek buttons until you catch up with live TV again that is.

That's one of the problems with the Gigablue Quad Plus. Hitting Pause does not seem to put it into Timeshift mode.
If I hit Pause and then try to use 1,4,7 to jump backwards, it doesn't work reliably. Sometimes, it only jumps back a single frame!!!
Hitting rewind works reliably. After hitting rewind and then play I'm definitely in timeshift mode and 1/3 4/6 7/9 works as expected then
