My ViX2.3 is not powering up after pressing the remote power button, i have to take the power off from the socket and then reboot to get my Duo started.

This has not been happening all the time, its been like this now for a few days.

Any ideas guys?

Bit obvious but have you tried different batteries?

i remeber a long time ago this happening to my duo

the way i got it sorted was just to cut my losses and reflash it

that worked fine

I found out the reason: when the box is recording (to my NAS), it will not power up.

When not recording, it powers up ok.

Weird that. Never had a problem with all three boxes recording to nas drive... Unless it's the nas drive itself, too slow maybe, or the connection to it?

No, its really fast and can handle multiple recordings & watching at the same time.

I suspect i may need to reinstall ViX2.3.

i have been getting this issue too, no NAS involved in my case and it happens when the duo is just sitting there.
I also find every morning the box had crashed and reset over night, no idea what is causing it. 2.3 isn't the best firmware i 've installed on the duo, that's for sure. (i've only ever installed Vix since 1.3 too!)

Well why dont you post crash logs if you think its the ViX firmware and not user error?

I did, emailed to the email address in the crash logs

I can't find your report. Best way to send it is via the Log-Manager.

As Rob says, send the email via the log manager, or post the actual crash log here. Or, do both to ensure it gets seen and supported ;)
