i also had the ccam restarting every 30 mins. i have telnet user/pass setup. by disabling autostart and just selecting start each time vu is first powered on it runs great no stopping.

i also had the playback of recordings just freezing on a still image every few mins. i reflashed twice then gave up and went to pli. after 2 days of pli realised it is not a patch on vix which i favoured as great epg setup with crossepg etc so i did a fresh reflash from usb. ieverything working great now. watched 3 hours of recorded programs last night and not one problem with it. i then did software update before i went to bed and it updated 78 items so i am hoping everything is still ok but im sure it is so great work andy on sorting all these issues. seems as reliable as vix 1.1 was now well done

Exactly, that's the problem... The cccam autostarter checks that cccam is running every 30 minutes. Sounds like because you set a user/pass for the cccam telnet, it cannot get the correct answer, and so fails... If you disable the user/pass for cccam telnet (as it is very rarely used, even less needed to be forwarded to be open over the internet, so no security issure here), then all would be fine!

@Vix Team,

Just upgraded from 1.1 to 1.2 via the menu.

Ran the upgrade option twice to make sure I had all the updates (third time there was nothing to update), set CCcam to autostart, set 'overscan' to 150 (it had kept my old setting of 100 but it didn't seem to set it).

Other than that, didn't need to do anything else. Everything just worked.

hi andy, I setup the tenet command and got the port, then entered it in next line on telnet. what does this enable? does it allow me now to enable autostart without it restarting every 30 mins? note i still have user/pass setup on it as my vu+ was hacked and cfg changed when i first got it so for security wish to keep it enabled.

where would the results be. it quoted the number for the port after i entered the first line of code. then came up with just the word welcome after i put in second line

You do realise that for security, you're better off not port-forwarding the telnet for either cccam or the box itself!?

In your opinion it is a rarely or never used plugin. The same as in other people's opinions the sub services is a rarely or never used function... Especially since the channels can be added to bouquets (or at least could, so I imagine they still would be able to be?!), so the subservices isn't really that necessary?!

Ok, but they changing the number of subservices dinamically, and the pids are changing frequently also, so adding them to a bouquet is not a real solution. Also you can't add them before you can access them, and you can't access them without hacking the image or installing an external plugin....
I tried a lot of images, including some enigma1 version in my dm7020 and never had any problem to access the subservices.
The autotimers must be set once in a lifetime, so i dont think this plugin need a dedicated hotkey. It can be accessed from the epg or menu, so there is more than enough way to reach it...

no, the auto just sends those commands, and expects "Welcome" for the result. if that what you got i dont know why it thinks is has frozen

Hi guys..

I have just noticed a wee problem.. that i have spent the last 2 hours messing with.. but have no joy..

I done a rescan last night.. and ever since then i have had no EPG service with the long press of red button.. I mean the window opens fine.. just no list in it..

I then done a long press of blue button and the only thing i have to do with EPG in there is Cross EPG downloader..

Basically what i am looking for is directions on where to go to find the satmate EPG.. which just populates all channels on 28E..

andy, I think you are looking in the wrong area. I have the same cccam 30 minutes restart with no telnet username or password set. the only telnet related function i have in cccam.cfg is the telnet listen port at 16001

I've updated to v1.2 (from v1.1) using the boxes update function.
As mentioned, i ran it twice to get all the updates and can report no issues.
Everything works as before, so thanks very much!!!

The only issue i have isn't(probably) related to v1.2, but any suggestions would be welcome!
I'm currently using Catseye Enigma2 Settings file 75 East to 58 West bouquet.
Being very new to all this, i have only used the "plug-ins" menu to install it.
It is currently using the "22.10.2010" version. In my plug-in menu, this is the only date option.(other bouquets are on offer of course which are all around Sep/Oct))
Checking the enigma2 section of the forum, it appears the "05.11.2010" is the latest version.
Is this version on the update servers yet?
If it is, is there anything i should be doing so my DUO sees the latest "05.11.2010" version?
I've tried removing the plug-in and then re-installing it. It loads the same older "22.10.2010" version etc.

If it is simply a matter that the latest version has not hit the update servers, than that is no problem.
I can fully appreciate that Andy has been rather busy lately!!! LOL...

I'm not lazy, and i will learn how to update bouquets using dream edit etc. But wanted to make sure it wasn't something i was doing wrong with the boxes update facility first.

Good morning, my problem still continues. This issue is important to me. Vıx1.2 image.

Front (Input) 2.5 and 3.5 USB Portable HDD running. There is a Device Manager list.
USB HDD does not work in the back.
Device Menagar no list is empty
I would like to use the rear USB.
Previously worked at vix 1.1.
