Hi,
I have some problems with Duo, I cannot keep this short, so hope you don't get bored before the end.
once upon a time,
I have been on 28.2 and everything working OK. Some time ago I noticed breakup in the picture, assumed dish may need to be realigned, spent hours trying to do this, no luck. Then tried new LNB, still same problems. I put one of the sat finder meters in line and found that the signal was pulsing, this tied in with the signal I was watching on TV, which was going from 70 to 30.
Over the road I have 2 mobile phone masts, I wondered if these had anything to do with the problem, took the dish down to ground level and round the side of the house, where it was screened from the masts, signal locked on within seconds and picture did not break up.
Dish mounted on wall at side of house and getting a steady 91snr on bbc1. (new coax)
I now come onto the next problem, failed to tune started to appear, I did a rescan and everything was working OK, all channels working without any problems and did not get any failed to tune message.
Time for work, so box turned off, next day when box turned back on, I get the failed to tune message again.
I now wonder if it is software, I have had the box for some years without any updates.
Back to factory settings, latest bootloader and vix loaded, scan done and all channels working OK.
At this stage I thought I had cracked it, the box was turned off for a couple of hours, when it was put back on, yes - failed to tune reappears.
So, channels that worked and cleared yesterday, will not work today, to make things even more confusing, some of the +1 channels are working ok.
I noticed on the latest scan that a lot of the s** channels were missing.
I wonder if anyone is in the Derby type area, I may be able to plug my box into their setup and prove if my box has gone defective.
