[VU+ Duo] Vu+ Duo running very slow on latest zeus image 005

Updated to latest zeus image a few days ago. Box was running fine. Switched on today and its running extremely slowly. Vix logo constantly spinning. Telnet into box and there are multiple shells running taking up all of cpu. tried reflashing but its still doing the same. any ideas

i have it enabled. because box is so slow its easier to get them from ftp to box, so where are logs stored

You have a lot of OpenWebif page not found errors, any idea whats causing those?
Also, storing picons on the HDD probably wont help.
Could also be due to network share not being available?

Network share is available, just tried it on sat box. I have no idea why openwebif is showing errors. I have now disabled it. Still slow.
Will disable picons too

Strange thing is everything was fine for a few days on zeus 005. Only happened today. Didnt change anything so dont understand what triggered this.
This happened before on VIX 3.0 but a reboot sorted it. Any idea what all the running shells might be. If I telnet in and to top or ps -ef i see a larhe number of PIDs as sh. And the number of them keeps increasing, each using approx 3-6% of CPU

No. box psw protected and well firewalled. Have disabled port forwarding just in case

What do you get when you run the command who?

AFAIK pts are I think serial devices so in my old UNIX days for dumb/serial connected terminals you'd spawn logons on tty devices which as far as I can see are now pts devices hence you you have so many shell processes running.

Again in the old days the file /etc/inittab would control these devices but I'm not too familiar with enigma2 boxes.

EDIT: Actually pts would be a network device so the box thinks there are multiple connections open that need to be serviced.

I had epg, picons, and swap file running off a USB when I had my duo. As well as cache flush installed. Prior to that my box was always running slow and crashing!

A lot of duos suffer from a memory leak issue I think?
