[VU+ Solo2] VU Solo2 ViX Image Discussion

As per previous gentleman I am having the following problems

- Receiver becomes unresponsive. The OSD may be stuck on a channel or in standby or display "Vu Solo2"
- Screen is black with no sound
- No response from remote include turning on or off
- Requires hard reset
- When reset the openvix image comes up but the remote remains unresponsive
- To be able to use remote or receiver I need to reflash the box
- Currently using openvix (I didn't request image to be pre-installed but it was!)
- Have updated from vu+ website official and tried several vix images
- Only plugin installed is cccam 2.3 as part of softcam preinstalled, no plugins downloaded

For example, ITV2 was left on overnight but by morning box had froze. Also putting in standby and recording something 22.30 to 00.30, in morning box (07.00) had froze with OSD at 1.37.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

trying to enter a airplayer key with remote problem....Help please
eg.normally if i want a letter a or b i would press key 2, once for a, twice for b, c three times etc
but my key 2 only gives me 2 if i press it 4 times i would get 2222 ???
hope you get what i mean

usually press the audio button and change the stream,there is another option in settings but have not done that way so unsure.

I have tried that but no change. Its just annoying to have to turn it off all the time,rather than turning it on when I need it.

When watching an MKV, the 21:9 image is stretched vertically (no black borders). I've to stop and restart the playback to get the borders (of course, it's configured in AV settings to *not* stretch). Sometimes it's enough to go to AV settings and to cycle through the 16:9 or 4:3 (doesn't matter which one) settings back and fourth.

That's a driver-bug all VU boxes suffer from since the day the DUO was born .....

Coolmans TV Guide not working with the latest Vix images , even when restoring settings backup it somehow loses it i.e its the only plugin not reinstalled

Cool TV is a closed source 3rd-party plugin, so nothing we can do about that. It's the author who will have fix a bug in his plugin.

BWT: Cool has never been (fully) compatible with ViX. And I can't think of one single feature of Cool that I miss in ViX.

Yeah , made a daft post , pressing epg button gives much the same result as using cool tv

Hi Folks - Hope you can help with a little info? I have Vu+ Solo 2 running the latest release of Vix.

Tonight I tried to play an .avi file with AC3 soundtrack - no joy on sound - indeed when I pressed the "audio" button on remote, there was no sound file evident - i.e. the Vu+ Solo 2 did not report a soundtrack either to "pass through" or down-mix.

I played the move on my P.C using VLC - no issues. Ultimately I copied the movie to USB, and played directly from Samsung SMART TV; using ARC I watched on TV and listened to 5.1 audio on amp.

Question: I have played DTS movies no issue on VU+ Solo 2, but this AC3 encoded film audio channel was not recognised by VU+ Solo 2 - either to down-mix or pass through, audio info was blank - Why? Is this a driver issue?
