Greetings from New Zealand to all members.
Had acquired a new Vu+zero 4K HD which was not able to record.
An OpenVix staff member kindly suggested I flash OpenViX to the receiver as it is capable of recording.
Successfully flashed build 6.7.015 to the Zero HD and receiver records perfectly to HDD or USB stick- thanks.
However since re-flashing I now find I am unable to scan and load any DVB-S2/Multistream services at all. Only ordinary DVB-S Transport Stream Services will now work no problem. I have checked all the settings in the Manual Scan Mode which I used previously and had worked prior to the re-flash, without success. No Scan modes work for Multistream Transport Stream mode now. Shows "No services Found" and no indication shows on the signal finder. A substitute receiver works fine on DVB-S2/Multistream.

Can you advise on a possible fix for this please?

Please post a screenshot of the scanning options that you are using.

This is the only scanning option I am using on the zero 4K to load DVB- S2/Multistream services. Has worked well prior to the re-flash.

Back on topic, please update the XML file. There is a function to do that on the scanning menu. Then try "predefined transponder" and then selevt what you want to acan. Maybe one of the values you are entering has changed.

Those settings look ok. Maybe it is a signal issue, or cable/socket problem.

Other receivers, zgemma H9 twin, zgemma H-11s etc. substituted here will scan DVB-S2/multistream and play services ok.
Only DVB-S ordinary transport stream services work fine on Vu+zero 4K- no DVB-S2 so unlikely a signal/cable or connector problem.

1. get the satellites.xml from the "other receiver" that does work and install it on the zero. (in /etc/tuxbox).
2. if there is a satellites.xml present in /etc/enigma2, remove it.
3. reboot the zero
4. on the "other receiver" in satfinder select the "predefined transponder" you are trying to tune and check it works.
5. on the zero select the same "predefined transponder" and check signal.

No. That assumes that the current satellites.xml works. We don't know that yet.

FTP to the receiver and fetch the file. It is in /etc/tuxbox.

This is not helpful because we don't know that file opens this transponder. That is why I want him to test the known working file.

Greetings all. Sorry I have neglected the thread as I have been otherwise occupied.
I have since purchased a second new VU+4K. This receiver is in factory condition with no OpenVix, OpenATV or other image.
This receiver loads and plays the DVB-S2/Multistream services I require no problem.
I have not tried flashing it with OpenVix etc as this is when the problem of not being able to scan and load the DVB-S/ Multistream services on the first receiver came about.
Is there a method to clone the services information from the second working VU+4K to the first receiver with the problem?
If so would I have to flash the second receiver with OpenVix to do this?
Also a possible silly question. Can the first VU+4K be put back to factory condition with no OpenVix image.

It must have an image on it. Find out what it is and flash the same image on the old receiver if you want identical images.

You can copy the bouquets and lamedb files from one receiver and transfer to the other. Will be simpler to use channel list editor like Dremset. OWIF can do the same, but we dont' know what image is on the new receiver.

Greetings all. Sorry I have not had much time to mess with Satellite during our summer here down in the South Pacific.
I had no success in using FTP to fetch the file from the working receiver and transfer it to the non working Vu+Zero 4K.
I was also unable to find out what image the working receiver was using.
In desperation I flashed the receiver with OpenATV 7.6.0 and all the DVB-S2 Multistream services scanned in and played just fine.
All DVB-S services were also ok, as was the recording function on any service.
Thank you to all concerned for your help and suggestions.
