Hauppauge WinTV-NOVA-T USB Stick - VIX?

I have just put the latest vix on and can't get the nova-t working , i downloaded the driver but just came back with fatal error device not found.
Any ideas? Thanks.

Which driver did you install?
It's in the feeds now under:
drivers/dvb-usb-dib0700(1.0r2)

Works perfectly for me using latest VIX 2.3

Yep that was it ,its not listed now so i guess its installed  , i must be doing something wrong ,not used vix for a while.
Ok sorted it ,just needed to reboot box.

always remember when installing plugins or drivers etc, that you must reboot the receiver for them to take full effect.

I'm on VIX 2.1 and don't want to update the image to 2.3.

In 2.1 I don't get the drivers feed. Is it possible to download the siano ipk or the dib0700 ipk from telnet on the vu+?

can you tell me how did you download the driver
im on vix 2.1 as well
want to add
AVerTV Hybrid Volar HX A827M
thanks

If that stick is based on the af9035 chip then there may not be any drivers configured by the Vix Team. I have an Avermedia A825 based on the af9035 and I have used the ItalySatDtt Downloader plugin (from the Vix feeds) to access drivers that work. Works well on Vix 2.2.110, Vix 2.3 GM and Vix 2.3.133 in my experience. These drivers support the digital (DVB-T) aspect and probably won't support the hybrid features (analog TV, FM radio etc).

Might be worth a look.

cheers

how did you install it
first the driver and then the stick
can you explain
how did you get the 3rd tuner
do you have to go to the tuner setup
thanks

Blue Button > Vix > Packet Manager > ..... wait while Packet List is downloaded .... then you should be able to find ItalySatDTT-Downloader-Vuduo package. Highlight this package and press <OK> and follow the prompts to download etc. After a re-boot you should have a new plugin. Run this plugin to select the DTT driver to download. Once downloaded you can try to enable (within plugin) and then re-boot again. If the driver you selected is compatible with your stick you'll be in business... otherwise it'll be bad luck.

In my case, Avermedia TwinStar A825, the AF9035 drivers recognised the device and both tuners (C & D) showed up and work well. The SNR doesn't get displayed properly, but actual operation is fine.

Good Luck.

Well, I imagined that your A827 might be similar to my A825... looks like I'm wrong. According to this link:

AVerMedia_AverTV_Hybrid_Volar_HX_(A827)

your device is based on the AF9013 chip. Might try some of the AF9015 drivers just in case they work...

I haven't seen any drivers for enigma2 that mention the AF9013 explicitly... you may need to purchase a more supported usb stick:(

Even if I try vix 2.3 on my box
Will this avermedia stick work
Imean can someone check if has the required driver
Or is there any way of adding those driver
Where do the driver go when you install them on your box I mean if I want to uninstall them which folder I have to delete in the vuo duo
Thanks

I doubt whether anyone has this stick... you may have to actually try it out yourself. The answer is quite possibly that it won't work. I reckon you should go out and buy one that you know is supported (especially if you haven't got the time or inclination to experiment yourself).

thanks
can you tell me how do you install it
do you first install the drivers and then the usb stick and how do you get the extra tuner
do you have to go to the tuner settings
thanks

If am not wrong, the A867R drivers were supported by VIX 2.2.... however disappeared on 2.3
Any reason for that? Can we get them back?
Thanks

there not disapeared just renamed and replaced

look in drivers section of plugins

and you will see

dvb-usb-af9015

and

dvb-usb-siano

both avermedia just dependant on what chipset you have

Sorry but it does not come out under Tuners.... Its the Avermedia Hd nano A867R.....

Can the developers confirm that the chipset is supported??? Or is it something wrong from my side...
Thanks

what is yr chipset

if it af9015 or siano its supported if its not then its not supported

... I understand that and if I knew it, I would not be asking if it is supported... Anyway - I got it working with VIX 2.2 .... by installing the "Volar HD Nano" drivers
Thanks

go into telnet and type

Code:
lsusb

that should give you a usb device list attached and hopefully you should see the chipset

from there you will know
