Made an FPGA Update as required for Uno? Else 2.3 won't boot...

yup im still stuck on starting too...gonna try a different usb drive ....

quick question.

how long did you leave the box on starting ? I only ask as i flashed my uno at least 100 times with this kernel and one of the very first times the box sat for almost 10 minutes before it booted, but since then it's fine i suspected at the time it was due to mine being a very early model Uno.

lol your in the wrong thread then, but if you have not flashed the bootloader for the Duo yet try that, it should not make a difference as the image is well under the 64meg limit needed before you need to upgrade to the new bootloader but you never know.

i managed to get image working , but have a problem with DBedit putting my services back on the box , a bit weird really.
FTP works fine but not DBedit with the exact same settings...trying a manual scan now see if it works.
ALL my channels are coming up NA in the bouquets ,, aarrgghh

Sorry mate posted in correct place now!!

got it all working now cheers guys ... i still have a weird network problem though with DBedit that i didnt have before.... but its deffo no biggy and will look at that when i have more time ..cheers guys ..all the best

After flashing this image i have now networks problems on all images i try :-(

I think this is some problem with network interface in box, on local lan i can telnet or ftp to box, but this not functional on internet, other PC on the same lan dont have any problem access internet but UNO has.
What I always do is first use DHCP --> OK --> save, and only then set DHCP to no and change the IP-address.
That way you're sure that all the other settings are correct.

What you might want to do is enable DHCP on the box and reboot both box and router. Than on the router click on the box and there should be a setting to say assign same IP or perhaps may say something aboutnot expiring lease tick this to yes.
Have this on all boxes and works fine never had any network issues.

I don't know why you would be using DBE at this stage: a settings restore during the first install wizard would have restored all your settings.

i always use DBedit for a lot of various things , it still not working by the way . i gonna try a different version

i'm using DBE 5.0.0.3 on both my Uno and Duo running the 3.1.1 kernel and it works fine for me with both.

.......I had not looked on here to read this thread now i am left with messing about reflashing it back and loading all my setting again :(
I realise many suffered from this, which unfortunately can't be helped.

But I presume backupsettings are present, as that would be normal. And in that case you will be asked if you want to restore them, once the flash has succeeded. Just say "Yes" and all your settings are there again. Now you only have to re-install the plugins.
