Unless it comes installed with the image I havent downloaded or installed any thing in addition. Did fresh flash and thats all. Not really too bothered as it was all old stuff but just found it weird. Updated to latest drivers now hopefully no more problems with recordings.

Also still unable to press stream when going to web interface.

I had to download the old web interface to get streaming back again, you will find it on the VU download (green button)

Correct: streaming live-TV is not yet implemented (streaming of movies is).
A very good alternative is DreamBoxManagerSuite (just google for it, report back if you can't find it). A very intuitive and informative player, much better then the streaming function in the old WEB-IF.

It appears theres been an online update this morning - build 161, it includes the latest drivers (dated 30.12.2011) and the new openwebif now allows you to stream to WMP.... thanks Andy, fast work.......

Regards
Peter

I would also like to say thank you for sorting out the web interface, for me it didn't work with 2.3 and after this mornings update all is OK. It's a great IMAGE, for you it must give you satisfaction in making it so. :D

Very nice image indeed !
The only thing i can't find is how to secure the webinterface. With previous image i had to give a username and password before i got access to the webinterface, but now i don't wich is ofcourse dangerous as i can access it from the outside
Any solution except then returning to the old webinterface?
Thanks

The web interface is only open within your own network, for someone to get into the web interface they would have to first get through any other network security you have in place such as your router, if that were to happen i'd be a tad more concerned about other things than some one gaining access to tv shows etc.

Hiya Devs/mods :)
Just copying the below thread I opened/resolved ;) As a possible bug/glitch report regarding the 3D OSD in the 161 build.
See below for the details, I solved my prob by reverting to 153, but it has been repeated on upgrading to 161(just to check)
Hiya folks,
Recently updated to 2.3 build 161 and since the upgrade the VIX 3D OSD no longer works for me :(
Just wondering if anyone else is having this issue?

Previously BlueButton>3D OSD>Side by Side>Green would kick the Vu into 3d output mode and my TV would autodetect the 3D mode.
In fact this worked so well i added it as a macro to my remote :) And stopped needing to access the TV function/Shifted softkeys to switch to 3D :D
But now, the 3D OSD has absolutely no effect whatsoever :(
No matter what I try the Vu Display just stays in 2D mode,
Now 3D is still usable via my 3D button on the TV but as the Vu 3D OSD isnt working my OSD turns to doubled/mirrored transparent garbage.
Is anyone else having a similar issue?

Ok Folks, Just an update, I've reflashed to 153 and the VIX 3D OSD works flawlessly :)
But just to satisfy my own curiousity I then upgraded to 161 again and the VIX 3D OSD once again failed to work.
As the issue only happens with 161 for me and is repeated after a reflash, I can only assume there is a glitch somewhere?
I'm hoping someone can confirm this for me, Anyone else having this prob? Or repeat it?

On the 161 build any setting in 3D OSD has no effect whatsoever(i.e no 3d OSD, Doubled infobar when in 3d mode), yet in 153 build works perfectly well and indeed auto triggers 3D on my TV.

Hi, waited till i updated to this, held back cause of recording issue and mgcamd, installed , then updated futher via vix menu, then FTP vuplus-dvb-modules-bm750-3.1.1-4.4.3-20120104.tar.gz drivers over, installed tspanel, all cams working and mgcamd working as suggested , and recording seems to be working fine, so everything working like befor aint noticed any speed difference, not like it was slow before :p

Thanks

anyone having troubles with latest VIX image and mgcamd just change box type in mg_cfg to B [ 06 ]. This will solve channel hopping problem.

I have tried to upgrade to this version and did as before .... copied the kernel files to a USB drive and plugged it into my VU+ Duo (front). But when I rebooted the box, it failed to update the kernel. All that happened was that a couple of files got copied to the USB drive (including an epg file).

Can someone please help me get this upgrade sorted. I've never had this problem with previous upgrades.

Have you tried using the back USB port, I always have problems with the front port. First update the new drivers if you have not done so yet (this takes just seconds from boot) and then delete the file and put the current VIX image on your USB stick and boot from the back USB port.

Works every time for me.

psion guy, what new drivers are these?

The latest drivers released by Vu were these ones

20111222(Needs Image update)
- Switch to kernel 3.1.1
- Improve recording(reduce load)
- Improve vtuner performance
- Support german remote keyboard(ultimo)

20111229
- Add security enhancement
- Reduce FPGA update time(uno, ultimo)
- Improve recording

20111230
- fix 3d setup in MODE1
- fix ui position setup problem

20120102
- Fix recording problem

20120104
- Add interface to check genuine box
- Fix recording stop problem.

They can only be used on images running the 3.1.1 kernel.

so are there any driver updates for the 2.351 image on solo or dou? reason i ask is that my dou updated fine but my solos wont take the new bootloader using the same USB stick? just wonder ing if there is anythin i need to do which i have inadverantly done on my dou without noticing

updated to vix 2.3 kernal 311 166 build today
porn centre not working
you tube working
cant seem to connect my vuDO to my pc by ie typing 192.168.2.- the ip address of my box
says
Error Parsing EPG: TypeError: xml is null
what is this

I can only refer to the Duo and the driver file (duo_cfe_3). This file is the only one available for the VU+ Duo and can be found on the download link on the first page of this thread. It only has to be loaded once, and works with the current Vix image.

It is that you have to set the port of the Open WEB-IF to "80" (default is 8088 or so).

this message comes even after changing the port to 0080 in the box from 8088
what about the porn centre is there any fix for this
will this hauppauge wintv usb reciever model no 40205 revB111work with it ,its old
